Meet the Author

Welcome again to my website. After a career teaching history in British and American universities, I engineered a career jailbreak in 2022, and have lived in Palestine, Jordan, and Taiwan.

During this time I published two history books: Comet Madness: How the 1910 Return of Halley's Comet (Almost) Destroyed Civilization (Prometheus/Globe Pequot, 2023) and L.A. Birdmen (Prometheus/Globe Pequot, 2024).

In 2026, I opened a new chapter in my writing career, focusing on upmarket fiction. This endeavor, as with this website, is starting to acquire some momentum. Hopefully, over the months and years to come, I will expand the site and fill the bibliographies with interesting stories.
